Sid will make home calls in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area for service and repair of larger clocks (i.e., grandfather and large Regulators).  Small clocks can be dropped off at The Pavillion Antiques during store hours (10:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Mon - Sat, 12:00-5:00 Sun).  Sid offers very competitive rates - contact him for an estimate.

Some Tips on Clock Care and Clock Repair

  • Have clocks oiled & serviced every 2-3 years
  • Have clocks professionally cleaned every 6 years
  • Wind 8-day clocks once a week on the same day...like Sunday
  • Do not overwind your clocks!
  • Clean wood cases with a quality oil polish every six months

If your clock does require repairs:

  • Keep your clocks out of direct sunlight
  • Most clocks that will not run have only minor problems
  • NEVER use WD-40 on clocks!
  • Be sure to bring in all clock parts
  • Some repair work requires time to order or make replacement parts
  • Describe in detail what the clock's ill symptoms are
  • Sharing any information about the clock helps too...each one is different, like humans, but many common problems exist
